Harriett Lacy, age 96, left this life on December 26, 2015. Harriett was born December 12, 1919 to Carrie and Harry Long in Lakeside, OH. She was predeceased by her husband John Lacy and sister Ellen Gordon.
Dearly loved mother of Ellen Messina (Joseph) of Albany, Judy Pendergast (William) of Flat Rock, NC, Craig Lacy (Sarah) of Medina, NY and Heidi Roberts (Randy) of Athens, TX.
Dear Grammie to grandchildren David Miller (Amy), Chris Messina (Shannon Bennett), John-Michael Messina, Benjamin Lacy (Rebecca), Joshua Lacy (Jacquelyn), Nicholas Lacy, Noah Lacy (Jessie), Jamie Rogers (Joseph) and Lacie Roberts (John Arzola).
Great-Grammie to Max and Ben Miller, Ruby Messina, Eva, Adelynne and Jude Lacy, Lillian and Morgan Lacy, Harper Lacy, and Jayden and Jordan Rogers.
Also survived by cousin Midge Clark of Findlay, OH and nephews Charles Gordon and Lee Gordon.
Harriett married John Lacy and moved to Medina, NY where they raised their family. They retired to Sun City West, AZ where they enjoyed many years of sun, golf and traveling. Harriett later moved to Tyler, TX and then to Albany, NY.
Harriett loved gardens, music, bird watching and babies. She was a spirited lady who lived life to the fullest.

A service will be held on Wednesday December 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Teresian House. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Teresian House Foundation, 200 Washington Avenue Ext, Albany, NY 12203, or to the Lakeside Heritage Society and Archives, 324 West Third St, Lakeside, OH 43440.
The family will take Harriett home to her beloved Lakeside at a later date.
