Albany- Harriette W. McCart, Born Albany, NY May 17 1926, died February 6, 2016 at The Teresian House after a series of illnesses.
She is survived by 2 nephews, David Hostetter (Sue) of Rochester, NY, Craig McCart (Mary Lou) of Weeki Wachee, Florida, and a niece Bonnie Collins of Newark, NY as well as multiple cousins out of the area except for William Weir, her caretaker of many years.
A graduate of Albany High School, she was employed by the New York Telephone Co. (Verizon) locally for close to 40 years in various capacities, including accounting management. She was also a member of the local Pioneers. After retirement she taught special education at Forest Park Elementary.
A lifelong Christian, member and devoted parishioner of Pineview Community Church, that she considered her family. She shared her deep and intimate faith in Jesus Christ teaching Sunday school classes and also with leadership in senior groups. She was also a longtime choir member; she was blessed with a wonderful singing voice.
She was predeceased by her parents, William McCart and wife Sarah (Weir) as well as her brother, Reverend William (Dot), and sister Lavinia McCart, a TEAM missionary in Cambodia and Japan for over 30 years, sister Margaret (Madge) who married Reverend David Hostetter.

Friends and Relatives may call between 4-7pm, Thursday, February 11, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Friday, 10am at Pineview Community Church with burial to follow at Albany Rural Cemetery.
