ALBANY, N.Y. -Harris departed this world on January 25, 2007 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born July 15,1936 in the West Indies. He is preceded in death by wife Alberta Latimer, son, Duane Latimer, and daughter in law, Trisha Kennedy.
Harris arrived in the U.S. a strong, ambitious, young man with work ethic and determination. He became a successful family and businessman in Queens, NY as owner of H & H Construction. He leaves to cherish his legacy; his brothers, Freddie Headley of Jamaica, Herbert Hughes of Albany, Otis Williams of Albany, Bill Williams of California, G.W. of Queens, sister Ruth Morris of Albany, children Clyde Headley of Jamaica, Ernest Latimer (Gladys) of Albany, Sharon Latimer of Queens, Miles Latimer of Schenectady, Dawn Latimer of Albany, Keith Latimer (Trista) of Albany, Kelvin Kennedy (Trisha) of Albany, Octavia Latimer (McKinley) of Troy, Retina Kennedy of Albany, Aisha Latimer of Queens, Violet Thornton (Joe) of North Carolina, 54 grandchildren,10 great grandchildren, special niece and nephew, Darlene Robinson and Robert Hughes both of Albany, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at noon, at Newcomer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Avenue). Expressions of sympathy may be made to Newcomerfamily.com
