Harris Stanley Shafer, Jr., 58, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. Harris was the son of the late Harris Stanley Shafer, Sr. and Edie Shafer.
Harris loved the outdoors, campfires, bar-b-qing, hiking, skiing. Harris climbed all the major mountain peaks in the northeast. Mostly, Harris enjoyed spending time with his family and his herbs.
Harris is survived by his children, Jesse Shafer, Amy (Sean) Shafer-Walker, Daniel Shafer, Devin Shafer; grandchildren, Zoey, Zaela, Zonna, and Zephaniah Walker; siblings, Gary (Sue) Juliano; his twin sister, Melodie (Tom Melville) Shafer, and Scott Shafer.
Harris is predeceased by his son, Harris Stanley Shafer III, who has been reunited with his father.
A Memorial Service will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, on Monday, December 9, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
