VOORHEESVILLE – Harry A. Canova, 90, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital.
Harry was born on August 18, 1915 in Patterson, NJ and was the son of the late Della F. Canova. He worked as a service elevator repairman for many years for the Irwin Elevator Co. in Albany before retiring in 1977. He enjoyed gardening and painting.
Harry is survived by his daughters, Darline (Richard) Goertz of East Glenville and Diane (Mario) Monti of Colonie; his grandchildren, Kenneth, Jill, Keith, Michael, Paul, Lisa, Donna and Debra; 10 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. He was predeceased by his wife, Thelma A. Swanson Canova.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment Memory's Garden, Colonie. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
