ALBANY- Harry A. Shufelt Sr., 79, of Albany passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Inn of Community Hospice.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Frederick Shufelt and Harriet Sloan. Harry was a veteran of the US Army. He was employed with Grand Union Supermarkets for 25 years as a Meat Cutter/ Relief Manager. He was later employed by the City of Albany at Bleeker Stadium. Harry was an avid bingo player.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Patricia Shufelt; his children, Harry A. Shufelt Jr. (Darlene), Jean Carlino (John) and Cindy Foley (Jack). He is the brother of Shirley Nobles and Sharon Shufelt. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:00am at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorys Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the NENY Alzheimer's Association in memory of Harry A.
