Harry A. Dane

Harry Austin Dane, 96, of Greer, South Carolina, formerly of Colonie, New York, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018.
Born in Colonie, Harry was the son of the late Austin Dane and Mary Jane (Weldon) Dane Parks. He was the husband of the late Marion Dane.

Mr. Dane served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II in the 7th Corp, 13th F.A.O.B. He worked as an Installer and Repairman with New York Telephone for 35 years. He was a lifetime member of both New Vision Pioneers and Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Colonie, NY.

He is survived by his daughter, Gail Miller and husband, Kirkland; granddaughter, Tanya Watson and husband, Travis; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Tanner Watson.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, William Parks.

Relatives and friends may call 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, April 5th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, followed by a funeral service at 12 noon, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
