Harry G. Bovee

LATHAM- Harry G. Bovee, Sr., 99, of Latham, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 4, 2010 at his son's residence. He was born in Green Island and was the son of the late George A. and Margaret Prediger Bovee.
Harry had worked in the automobile industry for over fifty years. He was associated with Troy Buick and Capitol Buick from where he retired in 1976. Harry was a longtime member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church in Troy and served on the Church Board. He enjoyed spending summers at Brant Lake and he was a member of Germania Hall in Troy.
Harry was predeceased in 2000 by his beloved wife Elizabeth "Betty" Schlegel Bovee. He is the devoted father of Harry G. Bovee Jr. of Salem, NH., Richard B. Bovee of Albany and Robert J. Bovee of Manchester, CT. Harry is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will Sunday afternoon at 2:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Sunday from 12 noon to 2:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Harry G. Bovee Sr.
