Colonie – Harry M. Williams, Jr., 72, of Colonie, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Harry M. and Beverly L. Williams. He was predeceased by his first wife, Crystal Dunston Williams. Harry was a pressman at Argus Press in Albany for many years. He was a coach for Rotterdam Little League, Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle that was highlighted with the opportunity to coach at Shea Stadium in New York. Harry enjoyed golfing and traveling.
He is the husband of Betty L. Williams. Harry is the father of Debra (Tim) Pink, Laurie (Doug) Holden and Jeff Williams. He is the stepfather of Don (Krissie) Pinkerton, , Mary (Sean) Reilly and Wayne (Pam) Pinkerton. Harry is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of Community Hospice of Albany especially Terry and Joy for their care and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday evening from 4 to 7 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A service in celebration of Harry's life will be offered at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Memory Gardens.
