Harry F. Nopper

Harry F Nopper 81, passed away peacefully in his home July 18,2024 surrounded by his loving family. Born November 26, 1942 in Albany NY. He was a son of Harry and Alice Nopper.

Harry honorably served our country in the United States Coast Guard and was a proud Police Officer/Detective for the city of Albany for 25 years. He was a man of faith and took pride in running the food pantry at Christ our Light Church for many years. His greatest love was the cherished time spent with his family and loved ones.

Harry is survived by his children James (Jamie) Harrigan, Sue (John) Schillinger, Todd (Heather) Harrigan, Joseph (Val) Nopper, Dennis Nopper; his grandchildren Jimmy, Katie, Johnny, Trinity, Aiden, Cooper and Addison. Also surviving; his siblings Elaine (Lee) Sweeney and William (Darlene) Nopper and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also survived by special friend Maureen Frisbee.

In addition to his wife Eileen and parents, Harry is predeceased by his siblings Gerald Nopper Sr., Janet Nopper, Ronald Nopper, Paul Nopper, Joseph Nopper, and John Nopper.

Family and friends are invited to visit with Harry’s family Monday July 22,2024, from 4-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd Albany, NY 12205. Tuesday July 23, 2024, a Funeral Mass will be held at Christ Our Light Church at 11:00am. Burial will follow at 2pm at Saratoga National Cemetery 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville, 12871.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Monday, July 22, 2024, from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY, 12205. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Christ our Light Church, Loudonville. Interment to follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemtery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY.
