Harry W. Vanderhule Jr., 81, of Burnt Hills, NY died at Ellis Hospital on May 9th, 2014. Born in Schenectady, he is the son of the late Emma and Harry Vanderhule, Sr.
Harry graduated from Nott Terrace High School in 1952. He proudly served his country aboard the U.S.S Midway after graduation and met his wife, Joann, while stationed in Seattle in 1955. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially while cooking out over open fires in his backyard. Harry was an avid bowler, golfer and fisherman. He was a member of several fraternal organizations, most notably the Elks of Niskayuna. Harry also served in many leadership roles for Friedens U.C.C. He was also an active member of Emmanuel – Friedens Church of Schenectady.
Harry is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Joann Schmick Vanderhule of Burnt Hills. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Macica (Robert) of Saratoga, NY. Harry is also survived his daughter Catherine Giannetti (Ralph) of Attleboro, MA, his son Daniel Vanderhule (Kathilee) of Canyon Lake, CA and his daughter Barbara Rocco (William) of Reading, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christina Renoni (David) of North Attleboro, MA, Stephen Rocco and Liviana Rocco of Reading PA, Emma Vanderhule of Canyon Lake, CA and his great grandson, Andrew Renoni of North Attleboro, MA. Harry is also survived by a niece, nephews, and several cousins.

Funeral services for Harry will be held Wednesday May 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel - Friedens Church of Schenectady, 218 Nott Terrace. Entombment will be on Thursday May 15th at 10:00 a.m. at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville.
