Hazel Mae Bolt
July 20, 1929 — November 16, 2018
Menands- Hazel M. Bolt, 89, of Menands, NY passed away 16 November 2018, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Born on the family farm in Walton, NY she was the daughter of the late Emory and Gladys Tweedie and the loving wife of the late John D. Bolt. Hazel will be missed by her family, friends and community.
She was the secretary of Menands Elementary School for 21 years while donating time at Bethany Church and the Menands Rotary. She loved to travel, go bowling and square dance.
Hazel is survived by her four sons (John, James, Stephen, Matthew), daughter (Brenda), 13 grandkids and 5 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189, on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 10:00am at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 21 N Lyons Ave, Menands, NY 12204. Burial service will be held immediately following at Mountain View Cemetery in Castleton-on-Hudson. All are welcome to gather at the hall at Bethany church after the burial service.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Association or The Community Hospice in Albany, NY.
