Hazel Leffler

TROY – Hazel Leffler, 80, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Born in Wayne County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Mary Adkins. Hazel lived in Troy for over 50 years. She was a school bus driver for many years for Brittonkill Central School District before her retirement. Hazel is the beloved mother of Karen G. (Scott Braman) Leffler-Braman of Colonie. She is the loving sister of Charlotte (Jim) Diamond of Ohio, Rilda Egan of West Virginia and the late Tillman, Hirman, Herman, Carroll and Lee Adkins, Jr. and Lola "Dee" Bowen. Hazel is the cherished grandmother of Jessica M. Lutz of Colonie. She is the step-mother of Mary Leffler Growick of Newtonville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
