Hazel V. Rooney passed into eternal life, peacefully at her home, on Sunday December 7, 2008.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was cherished by her family and was proud to have a very important role in her grandson Jerry's life. She will be dearly missed. Hazel was the beloved wife of the late Gerald A. Rooney.
She is survived by her children; Kevin P. Rooney, Eileen T. (Robert) Wippich and Sean M. (Julie) Rooney, grandchildren; Meghan L. Wippich and Gerald S. Rooney and step-granddaughter Danielle M. Graziano. She is also survived by one sister Kathleen Bartlett and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 8:15am from New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.) then to St. Clare's Church where a Mass of Christina Burial will be celebrate at 9:00am.
