LOUDONVILLE, NY – Heinz A. Blizinski, 79, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 06, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Alexander F. and Louisa Blizinska. Mr. Blizinski owned and operated Capital Collision Service in Albany for over 50 years. He was a founding member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Heinz was also a member of the Mason's Evening Star Lodge #75 and Capital City Order of the Amaranth . He was a member of both the German-American Club in Albany and the Troy Germania Hall, singing with both organizations. Heinz also enjoyed singing with the Hendricks Hudson Male Chorus. In the past, Heinz played the trombone and was a professional musician in several area dance bands. He is the beloved husband of the late Mildred F. Blizinski. He is the devoted father of Karen A. (Norman Davis) Blizinski, Laurie Combs, Michael Blizinski and Erich (Patti) Blizinski.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00 to 1:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2 Shaker-El, Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Heinz A. Blizinski.
