COLONIE – Helen C. Fisher Davis, 90, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Helen was born on December 16, 1919 in Brooklyn but was raised in Indian Fields, New York, attending school in Ravena, and Art School in Poultney, Vermont. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Emma (Stadler) Buker. She retired as an artist and taxidermist with the New York State Museum after many years, and was a member of the Albany Artists Group.
Helen is survived by her loving children, Mark "Chainsaw" (Sherry L. Manchester) Fisher, Gretchen C. (Douglas) Caruso, Helen C. (Robert) Lebel, and was predeceased by her daughter Karen Fisher in 1969. Helen is also survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 41 years, Bernard T. Davis; who passed away on August 20, 2007.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday 9:30 a.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
