Albany,
Helen F. Coyne, 89, of Albany passed away peacefully December 11. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late John and Effie McGloine.
After graduating from the Vincentian Institute, she was employed in banking for several years before going on to be a secretary for the College of St. Rose over 14 years.
Helen enjoyed bowling, she was a fan of the Boston Red Sox, playing golf and photography. She traveled extensively, especially with groups going to Mexico, eastern Europe, Hawaii, Italy and Iceland, and in her later years to the New England states.
She was a communicant of St. Claires and Christ the King churches.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by husband Robert J. Coyne, sisters Shirley Hausler and Maria LoPonto.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Debbie), David (Karen), Christopher (Ginny), Timothy (Melissa) and Daniel Coyne, grandchildren Glen, Zachary, Christian, Lynn, Brian, Ashley, Abby and Alex, great grandchildren Cade, Conner, Wesley, Andy, Finley and Emma Grace as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Tuesday December 15th from 9am-11am with a service at 11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie NY 12205. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens.
Social distance practices will be in effect, chapel size is limited to current NYS guidelines and masks are required in the building.
