Albany – Helen A. Dudley, 88, passed away Saturday June 28, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Helen was born in Albany April 1, 1920 the daughter of the late Chester and Marion (Watson) Anthony and was a lifelong area resident. She worked for New York State Dept. of Motor Vehicle for over 20 years retiring as a Senior Clerk. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering at Childs hospital but her real passion was being a mother and grandmother. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Earl V. Dudley, who died in 1976 and her son, Earl F. Dudley.
She is survived by her children; Carol Howard, Marion Reilly, Linda (James) Peterson and Jim Dudley and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11:00am at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow the service at Albany Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Regional Food Bank of NENY, 965 Albany Shaker Rd., Latham, NY 12110.
