LaBello, Helen Elizabeth, 94, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 11, 2023. She was born to the late Fredrick and Helen Wieland
Helen was a devoted wife, sharing 50 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, the late Anthony William LaBello. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished moment
Helen was employed by the South Colonie School District for many years. Her fun-loving spirit and flair for laughter left a positive impact on the lives of many students and colleagues she met daily. Helen cherished her moments with family and friends. She had a knack for bringing people together, whether it was over a barbecue, on the dance floor twirling to the polka, or simply enjoying the melodies of all genres of music. Helen had an adventurous spirit, relishing long walks and exploring exciting destinations during her travels.
Helen Elizabeth LaBello's memory will forever be etched in our hearts as we remember the love, laughter, and warmth she brought into our lives. She has left an indelible mark on her family and community, and her legacy will continue to shine brightly.
Helen is also predeceased by her brothers Fredrick and Donald Wieland; sisters Geraldine Carville and Ruth Wade. She is survived by her brother Richard Wieland and numerous nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever warm the hearts of those who knew her.
Helen is survived by her loving children, Christine Tyler (Robert Tyler), Marie Bologna (Louis Bologna), Michael LaBello (Karen Tucker-LaBello), and Paul LaBello, who will carry on her spirit and the values she held dear. Her 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren were a source of immeasurable joy in her life, and her love for them knew no bounds.
A memorial visitation and service to celebrate Helen's life will be held on September 19th 2023 from 10am – 12noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY 12205, followed by service 12pm and a funeral procession to Our Lady of Angels in Colonie, NY.
May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she so generously shared with all of us.
