ALBANY – Helen M. Carlino, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Eddy Heritage House of Troy, surrounded by her loving family.
Helen was born in Jersey Shore, PA and was the daughter of the late John and Susan M. (Kinley) Richburg. She was a lifetime member of the William Dale O'Brien Marine Corps League Women's Auxiliary. She was homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family, and was a life-long New York Yankee and John Wayne fan.
Helen is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Carlo P. Carlino; her sisters, Eleanor Asprion and Susan (Charles) Shultz; her brother, Vernon (Barbara) Richburg; her sons, Carlo (Linda), John Sr. (Jean), and Daniel Sr. (Dawn); her daughter, Ann Marie; her daughter-in-law, Sandra; her grandchildren, John (Eileen), Joseph (Julie), Daniel Jr., Lisa, Francesca (Nicholas), Mike (Amanda), and Nick; her great-grandchildren, Gianna, James, Nicholas, and Sara and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, John, George, Howard, and James; her sisters, Ann Mincer and Bessie Klett and her son, James Carlino.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the 3rd floor of the Eddy Heritage House of Troy for their professional care and compassion.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
