Helen M. Fake, 90, of Albany passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Albany Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 13, 1924 in Albany, she was daughter of the late Edward and Marguerite Daniels Klein.
Helen loved spending time reading a good book, crocheting, working on her craft projects but most of all loved her family.
Survivors include her daughters Pat Hoffmeister (Charles) of Guilderland and Marilyn Cataldo (Tony) of Albany; grandchildren Danielle Rapp, Kerry Rubin (Brian), Lisa Ward (Jeff), Christina Cataldo and Sandra Roche (Edward); great grandchildren Connor Rubin, Jared Rubin, Sara Ward, Katie Roche and Aiden Roche. Helen is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Vincent Fake; sister Marguerite Halko; brothers Raymond and Edward Klein and her beloved Pug Archie.
Funeral services to celebrate Helen's life will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 11 A.M. at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Albany.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses on the 4th floor at Memorial Hospital, Community Hospice nurses and Dr. Kevin Dooley for their exceptional love and care given to Mrs. Fake during her illness.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Helen's memory to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144.
