Helen M. O'Neill

Schenectady-Helen Marian (Barker) O'Neill, 88, died peacefully Friday, November 13, 2015 at home. Born in Yonkers, New York, Helen was the daughter of the late Edward and Elsie Barker. Helen moved to Schenectady after living in Bradenton, Florida for 33 years. Helen worked with her late husband John F. O'Neill at Hazards Pharmacy, Cornwall, NY for over 20 years.

Helen is survived by her sons, John E. (Christina) O'Neill of San Mateo, CA, James F. (Jane) O'Neill of Delmar, four grandchildren, Heather Macy, Kerry O'Neill, Maureen Sereno, and Amber Herbranson, three great-grandchildren, Katherine and Ella O'Neill and Keegan Sereno. She is also survived by her brother Edward Barker, brother-in-law Charles (Chick) LaForge, sister-in-law, Shirley O'Neill and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life reception will be Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 2 to 4 PM at Kingsway Village, Schenectady. Burial at Sarasota National Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your preferred charity.
