Helen M.Loftus Lawrence

RENSSELAER – Helen M. Loftus Lawrence, 95, of Rensselaer, passed away on Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Van Rensselaer Manor after a brief illness. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Scott and Mary Kearns Van Epps.
Helen was predeceased by her husbands, Charles H. Loftus and Ersal Lawrence; her son Charles W. Loftus and her granddaughter, Cristina M. Loftus. She is survived by her son, Harold J. (Dorothy) Loftus and her grandson Craig P. (Theresa) Loftus. She is the great grandmother of Alex and Adam.
Helen resided in Albany for most of her life. She will be remembered as loving and caring mother and grandmother. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Nurses and Staff at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home for the compassionate and tender care they gave Helen during her stay.
At the request of the family there will be no calling hours. All services are private at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Crossroads Center for Children, 1150 N. Wescott Road Schenectady, NY 12306.
