Helen P. Valet

Colonie- Helen P. Valet, 87, passed away peacefully, July 3, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Helen was the daughter of the late William and Ethel Preusser. She was predeceased by her loving husband Henry A. Valet Sr. Helen is also predeceased by her brother, Robert I. Preusser Sr.

Helen was a lifelong resident of Colonie, New York and a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Helen enjoyed camping, baking, crocheting, taking long drives in the country and spending time with her family.

Helen is survived by her children; Henry A. Valet Jr., William R. Valet, Kenneth J. Valet Sr. (Debra), Priscilla C. Diegel (James), Patricia A. Ouillette (Brian), her seven grandchildren, Dawn, William, Kenneth Jr., Sean, Kayla, Ryan and Joseph, four great grandchildren, Destiny, Austin, Amber and Jayden and one great great grandchild, Johnathan and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 2:00pm-5:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany,NY 12205. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at 10:00am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
