Helen R. Mysona

COLONIE – Helen R. Mysona, 77, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, after her courageous battle with cancer.

Helen was born on May 24, 1936 in Barkersville, NY and was the daughter of the late Elmer F. and Susan G. (Kelly) Wilcox. She was also predeceased by her longtime companion, Frank Tessitore.

Helen is survived by her loving children, Andy Mysona and Kathy Mysona-Twork; her grandson, Nicholas Becker (Heather); and her beloved feline companion, Trouble. She is also survived by many dear friends, especially, Kay Ayers, Betty Zotta, and John Mayer. A thank you to Emma Squires for the care and compassion she gave to Helen.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 5 to 7 p.m.
