Helen Russi Jolie

Helen DeMarco Russi Jolie went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 18, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1915, the daughter of Peter and Theresa DeMarco. She is pre-deceased by her first husband of more than 37 years, John Russi and her second husband, Raymond Jolie, as well as a son, James Russi. She retired from Travelers Insurance Company in 1980 and went on to lead an active life. She was chaplain of the Kuhn Senior Center and headed numerous exercise classes for the center. She also served Pineview Community Church for more than 30 years and loved to sing, having a beautiful soprano voice.
Helen is survived by her daughter, June Eastman of Hagerstown, MD, a son, Jerry Russi of Latham NY, a daughter, Linda Russi of Windsor CT, her sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Norman Lambert of Ballston Lake, a brother and sister-in-law, Ervin and Clara DeMarco of Albany and a brother and sister-in-law, David and Jan DeMarco of Scotia. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren and more than 20 great-grandchildren as well as many well-loved nieces and nephews. She also leaves her close friend and cousin, Filamena DeMarco and very good friend Lynn Barker.
The family would like to thank St. Peter's Hospital and the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center for their kind and loving care.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 at Pineview Community Church, 251 Washington Ave Ext. Albany. A calling hour will precede the service from 9 to 10 am at the Church. Interment will be in Windsor, CT in the spring. In keeping with Helen's wishes, memorial donations may be made to Pineview Community Church, 251 Washington Avenue, Ext., Albany, NY 12205.
