Helen Simon

SCHENECTADY-Helen A. Simon of Schenectady passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 surrounded by her family. Helen was born at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Michael and Ida Jegier. She graduated from Nott Terrace High School Class of 1937. Helen worked for the Schenectady City School District. She was devoted to caring for her family.
Helen is survived by her daughters Pattie (Bob) Rogowicz of Clearwater, FL and Pam Simon of Rexford and by her son Richard (Pam) Simon of Schenectady. She is also survived by her grandsons Richard and Robert Simon of Schenectady and by one great grandson Brayden Simon of Schenectady and by a sister Mary Connell of Somerfield, FL.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Theodore Simon and by her brothers Adolf, Zigmund and Freddie Jegier.
Calling hours will be held from 9 to 10 AM on Friday, May 24, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital in memory of Helen.
