ALBANY – Helene Rose Deeb, 89, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Guilderland Center Nursing & Rehab in Guilderland.
Helene was born on April 10, 1923 in Brooklyn and was the daughter of the late George C. and Amelia "Helen" (Morgan) Woodcock. She graduated from Albany High School in 1941 and worked as a bookkeeper for Trifiletti Brothers in Albany until 1985. She was a member of the West End Presbyterian Church of Albany. She enjoyed crocheting, looking at flowers, traveling, shopping with her friends on Wednesdays, but most of all loved spending time with all of her family.
Helene is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, William M. Deeb; her loving daughter, Pamela (Martin) Lawlor; her cherished grandchildren, Bobbie-Jo (Chris) Nusbaum and Michael (Valerie) Brecht; her cherished great-grandchildren, Jolie-Ann and Andrew Nusbaum; her sister, Joan C. (the late Louis) Norman of Alabama; and her brother, George C. (Eleanor) Woodcock. She was a caring, loving, and giving Aunt to Wayne and Anthony Woodcock, Robert Busch and the late Cheryl Woodcock. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
