FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – Henrietta Glatz-Bianchine, died June 2, 2005 after a long illness. She was born Ruby H. Mitchum in Sumter, SC on February 14, 1932 to the late George and Maggie "Suzie" Mitchum. She was united in marriage to John Denny until his passing and later married Henry J. Glatz, until his passing. She was currently the wife of Joseph Bianchine of Colonie. Henrietta and Henry owned and operated a tavern in Albany for many years. She sold the business to enjoy her retirement. Henrietta leaves behind her two children, Jo Jean (Hal) Allen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Henry J. Glatz and his life partner, Ronald Gusberti of Watervliet. She is the grandmother of Traci Montesano, Chiara (Andy) Wiggins, Henry Glatz, III and Nathan Allen. She is the great-grandmother of Jason, Alicia-Lynn, Savannah and Dakota. Also surviving is her brother, Arthur (Ned) Mitchum and several nieces and nephews. Henrietta was predeceased by her daughter, Alicia Lynn Denny, her brothers, John H. and George, Jr., her sisters, Helen and Mary "Cricket" and her granddaughter, Janna.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Henrietta Glatz-Bianchine.
