Henrietta Benn Golden

MENANDS – Henrietta "Sally" Benn Golden, 89, a 65 year resident of Menands, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at her daughter-in-law's home in Hudson Falls, NY.
Sally was born on February 5, 1917 in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late Jesse and Frieda Kessler Benn.
Sally was a longtime and active member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Menands and an active member of the Colonie Seniors, where she held several offices and enjoyed taking trips.
Sally is survived by her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Golden; her grandchildren, Vicki (Guido Martini) Culnan, Gilbert B. (Allyson Miller) Golden, Beth Ann (Tim) Bailey, Wendy Sue (Cedric Coulman) Golden, David A. (Susan) Golden, Reid (Nancy) Golden, Barbara E. Hampson, Mike (Laurie Dillon) Streeter and Jon (Brenda) Streeter and dear friend, Joan Smith. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, one great great grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles W. Golden, her son, Gilbert B. Golden; her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Carol S. Golden, her brothers, William, George, Jesse and Francis Benn; her sisters, Alice Gurney, Luella Snyder, Esther Rosenblum, Florence Bergmann and Elizabeth Hoffman and her grandsons, Jay B. Golden and Marc Emmons.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155 – south of Central Ave.). A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
