ALBANY- Henry L. Edmunds, 64, was called home by the angels to be with his sons on Friday, March 24, 2017.
Henry was born in Halifax, VA on May 31, 1952 to Ulysses and Gladys Edmunds Sr. Henry's passion in life was his family. He will be remembered for his love of boxing and getting coffee and lottery tickets at Stewarts. On April 27, 2003 Henry married the love of his life, Anna Edmunds. They were married for 14 years, and together they raised nine children. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Edmunds, his brother-in-law, James Earley, his children; Henry Edmunds Jr., James Bandy, Kimbria Edmunds, Romel Pryor, Crystal Edmunds, Khalijah Edmunds, Najahliek Edmunds, his mother, Gladys Edmunds, his siblings; Joe Wood, Ulysses Edmunds Jr., Carolyn Stephens, Katherine Tune, and Mary Lane, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Henry is predeceased by his father, Ulysses L. Edmunds Sr., his sons; Anthony Edmunds, and Kareem Bandy, and his brothers, Frank Edmunds, and Preston Edmunds.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 12:00pm-1:00pm, with a service to immediately follow.
