ALBANY – Henry J. "10 Speed" Deyoe, 64, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 after battling a long term illness, with family and friends surrounding his side.
Henry was born on April 20, 1948 in Troy and was the son of the late James H. and Ruth E. (Wheeler) Deyoe.
Henry was an employee of General Electric for thirty years and Price Chopper for five years. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed all types of auto racing, and was also a football and baseball fan.
Henry was a beloved husband, father, and friend, leaving behind a wife of 40 years, Ellen D. (Clark) Deyoe of Albany; his sons, Keith (Connie) Deyoe, Michael Deyoe, and Charles (Sasha) Herald all of Albany; also several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Carole B. Miller officiating at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 5 to 7 p.m. Inurnment will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
