Latham – Henry J. Glatz Jr., 50, of Latham, passed away suddenly on Tuesday January 22, 2008 at Albany Medical Center. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Henry and R. Henrietta Mitchum Glatz Sr.
Henry was a prominent hair stylist in the Capital Region. He was currently operating The Salon at Beltrone Living Center in Colonie. Henry found humor in every aspect of his life. He enjoyed sharing his quick wit and unique sense of humor without hesitation. Henry enjoyed traveling, shopping, reading and had a remarkable thirst for knowledge. He had a tremendous love for animals. Henry will be remembered as a loving and caring man that truly embraced life to its fullest. His gift of life will continue as a result of organ donation. Henry is survived by his life partner and soulmate, Ronald Gusberti; his son, Henry J. Glatz III; his sisters, Jo Jean (Hal) Allen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Peggy Warren, Linda (Mike) Boink and the late Alicia Lynn Denny. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Henry will be dearly missed by his canine companions, Bella and Baxter.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 11:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorys Garden.
