Henry Johnson

ALBANY Henry Leonard Johnson, 68, of Albany, passed away on February 23, 2010. He was born February 9, 1942 in Ellaville, Ga., and was the son of the late Essie Lee and Elijah Johnson Sr. He retired for Di Pa Mar Construction Company. Survivors include his daughter, Christine Davis of Orland, Fla.; his siblings, James (Rebecca) Johnson, Jerome (Minnie) Johnson of Buffalo, Albert Johnson of Conway, S.C., Elijah "Junior" (Katie Mae) Johnson of Ellaville, and Leola Goodman; stepchildren, James, David, Valerie and Robert Gibson; in-law, Patricia Violet Bowles; and many grandchildren, great-grandchild-ren; relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his lifelong companion, Vivian Gibson; his brothers, Eddie (Beulah) and Buford Johnson.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mount Olive Missionary Baptisty Church, 236 N. Pearl Street, Albany. Viewing will be from 9 to 11 am at the church, prior to the service. Interment, Graceland Cemetery.
