Albany – Henry Michalski, 78, passed away Saturday August 9, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn.
Henry was born in Albany the son of the late Tadeus and Mary (Kruzel) Michalski and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Albany High School and was a veteran of the US Army. Henry worked for the Unisys Co. of Albany as a Customer Engineer for 37 years and retired in 1986. He loved to fish with his sons and garden at his home. Henry was very proud of his Polish heritage and was a member and former officer of the Polish American Citizens Club. He was a member of Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion #1520 and the St. Frances de Sales Senior Citizens.
Henry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dolores, his children; Peter Michaski, Diane (Kevin) McDonald and Paul Michalski, his grand-daughters; Kristen and Michele, his brother Felix (Rosemary)Michalski, his in-laws; Cecelia Michalski, Barbara Michalski, Jean Eaton and Philip Gara, his cousin Theodore Michalski and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Sophia Hewitt and his brothers; Thaddeus and Chester.
A memorial service will be held at Saratoga National Cemetery 10:30am Friday.
