SARATOGA- Henry "Bob" Slyke, 64, was taken by the angels to find peace with his devoted parents in heaven on October 6, 2009 at Saratoga Hospital. Bob was born in Albany on December 28, 1944. He was a client of the Capital District Developmental Disabilities Services Office. Bob resided at the Worth Road Group Home in Wilton, NY. He attended the Burnt Hills Dayhab Center in Burnt Hills. Bob's life appeared to some as simple and plain, but was devoted our most important core values…the love of family and friends. Bob was the treasured son of the late Henry and Phila Slyke, who he lived with and shared cherished memories the first fifty years of his life. He is survived by his loving family; his sister, Cyndy (Peter) Tuczynski and caring, devoted nephew, Kyle. Cyndy was Bob's best friend, advocate and lifelong protector; his loving brother, Garry (Ann Marie) Slyke, nephew Wesley R. Slyke, niece Cyndy (John Paul) Mastan and great-nephew, Caden Slyke. Also surviving are several aunts and cousins. Bob's family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to his "extended" family at the Worth Road Group Home and Bob's friends and wonderful staff at the Burnt Hills Dayhab Center. Our dear Bob…. "The fear is stilled, the demons are gone. Rest in safe and loving peace sweet brother…till we all meet again in heaven." Love Cyndy and Garry.
