LATHAM – Henry T. Stevens, 93, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010, with his daughter Sandra at his side.
Henry was born on March 26, 1917 in Schenectady and was the son of the late Stanley and Katherine (Derinski) Styczynski. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and attended the GE Business Training Course. He studied real estate at Russell Sage College in Albany. Henry worked as a carpenter for the National Home Modernization in Albany, retiring from that company. He was a member of Annie Shafer Senior Citizens Club and the Rotterdam Elks Lodge #2157.
Henry was married to the late Lucy Stevens and had three daughters, Sandra Riccio, Cynthia Blyth and the late Marlene Stevens. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jennifer (Kenneth) Hoffman, Jeffrey Riccio, Tracy (Bill) Wildermuth, and Rachel Stark; three great-grandchildren, Brett Riccio, and Skyler and Shane Wildermuth; his nieces and nephews, Michael Stevens, Nancy Fauchon, James Styczynski, Thomas and John Bartizell, Mary Buchner and Dr. Judith Abrams. In addition to his parents, wife and daughter, Henry was predeceased by his sister, Jessie Bartyzell and three brothers, Walter, Mario, and Leonard.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 5 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
