THOMAS, HENRY W.
GUILDERLAND – Henry W. "Hank" Thomas, 83, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Born in Lynn, MA, he was the son of late Henry W. and Wilhelmina G. Thomas.
A graduate of Lexington High School and Middlebury College, Hank also served in the 9th Division, 60th Infantry in Europe during World War II. He was employed at Behr-Manning Co. from 1954 – 1966 and Sears Roebuck from 1966 – 1987. Hank was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the New England Patriots. He was also a communicant of Christ the King Church.
Hank was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Patricia S., a son, William C. Thomas, and a brother, Carl S. Thomas.
He is survived by two sons; Michael P. (Monica) Thomas, and Richard J. Thomas, both of Guilderland; two daughters; Mary A. Thomas (James Benkart) of Guilderland, and Kathleen M. (David) LaGuardia of San Diego; three grandchildren; Kara E. and Kevin W. Thomas, and Han LaGuardia; sisters-in-law; Maryann Houston of North Carolina, Phyllis and Jo Smith of Massachusetts, and Anne Gover of Kentucky; a brother-in-law; Jack Smith of New York, along with many nieces and
nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 10:00AM at Christ the King Church in Guilderland. Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00PM on Tuesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. in Colonie. The parish family of Christ the King will gather at 5:00PM at the funeral home for service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome. Entombment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
