Herbert C. Koch

On Sunday, February 15, 2015 Herbert C. Koch, 92, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Herbert was born January 12, 1923, on the family farm in Glenville, New York. He was the youngest child of the late J. Geroge, Sr., and Elise Koch. He was predeceased by his siblings J. George Koch, Jr., Elizabeth (Koch) Pierce, Elise (Koch) Shufeldt, Gertrude (Koch) Sant, Arthurs F. Koch, and Walter P. Koch.

On December 30th, 1951, Herbert married Jeanette (Kerwood) Koch and they enjoyed 63 happy years together. He is also survived by his five children, Patricia (Tim) Wacker, Deborah (Garrett) Aldershoff, Daniel (Cathy) Koch, Peter Koch, Cheryl Koch Michelfelder, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

For many years Herbert was employed locally as an expert auto mechanic at several well-known car dealers. For 15 years he also owned and operated his own independent automobile repair shop.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany from 10:00am - 12:00pm. A service will be held following the calling hours at 12:00pm. Interment will follow services at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
