Herbert Cass

ROTTERDAM - Herbert Cass beloved husband of Joan (Kallenburg) Cass passed away peacefully on October 24, 2010 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by his family. Herbert was born on February 24th, 1926 in Bronx N.Y., the son of Claire (Grill) and Harold Cass. He worked for 24 years as a bus driver for the Niskayuna School district until his retirement in 1999. In addition to his wife Joan, he is survived by his four children, Mindy Cass (James Wilson), Toby Cass, Steven Cass, and Michele Cass Perez (David). He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Matthew, EJ, Allie, Aaron, Jared, Ben, Zachary, Justin and Joan's son Bruce Kallenburg, wife Antoinette and their daughters. He leaves behind his sisters, Honey Thaw and Renee Tranes.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and support staff on A6 at Ellis Hospital and the staff at The Avenue for their skilled care and compassion.

Burial will be on Wednesday October 27th at Cedar Park/Beth-EL Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07630.
