Herbert J. Brown

RENSSELAER – Herbert J. Brown, 67, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Herbert was born on June 15, 1941 in Chazy, NY and was the son of the late William D. and Eva Martin Brown.
Herbert has been working for the Wellington Garage for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Herbert is survived by his children, Shawn P. Brown, Coreen M. (James) Jewell and Herbert J. Holland; his sisters, Evelyn (Richard) Dragon, Beverly (Harold) DeFreest; his brothers, Kenneth G. (Nancy) Brown and Emile R. (Barbara) Brown; his grandchildren, Brittney, Emily and Jamie; his dear friend, Linda Levings and her daughters, Kim and Dee; his devoted cat, Belle and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Ione, Ansel, Leon, George, William Jr. and Joan.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to Holy Family Church, 279 Central Ave., Albany where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
