POTTERSVILLE – Hilbert C. Rapp, 85, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
Hilbert was born on June 19, 1927 in Colonie and was the son of the late Charles H. and Gertrude A. (Winegar) Rapp. He graduated from Roessleville High School. He was the manager of concessions for Radio City Music Hall in New York City for over 30 years and for the NYS Insurance Fund for 20 years until he retired in 1993.
Hilbert was a dancer and loved dancing, musicals, theater, gardening, flowers, his home, and family gatherings.
Hilbert is survived by his sisters, Lois Crounse-Bristol of Voorheesville and Wilda (Cliff) Sandwick of Rhinebeck; his brothers, Ralph (Carol) Rapp of Pottersville and Wayne (Sheila) Rapp of Latham; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, of NENY, Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 4, Suite 405, Washington Avenue Ext., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Hilbert C. Rapp.
