ALBANY – Hildegard Coyne, 78, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Hildegard was born on April 4, 1928 in Danzig, Germany and was the daughter of the late Bruno and Anna Troeder Glodny. She retired from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance as a key punch operator in 1991 to care for her granddaughters. She enjoyed spending time with her family, discussing politics, and seeing humor in everyday life.
Hildegard is survived by her loving daughter, Edna Coyne-Wilkins and her husband, Robert; her cherished granddaughters, Tiffany and Lindsey Wilkins; her sisters and brother, Agnes Fedorov, Christine Smulewicz, Ingrid Caggiano, Oryanna Lavigne and Bruno Glodny and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Coyne; sister, Trudy Zmuda and brother, Lothar Glodny.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.newcomerfamily.com
