Holly A. Fyvie, 57, passed away Friday July 3, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Her loving family was at her side.
Holly was born in Albany the daughter of Jean and the late Andrew Ruth and was a lifelong area resident. She was the co-owner and operator of the Deli Mill in downtown Albany for over 25 years with her husband Bill. She was an excellent cook and even better shopper. Bill and Holly were high school sweethearts and have been married for over 36 years. Holly was a selfless, thoughtful woman who always placed others before herself. During her seven year struggle with cancer, she was an inspiration to others with cancer and to her entire family. Holly was many things but most of all a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend. Her family meant the world to her. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her devoted husband Bill, she is survived by her three loving children: Sheri (Mike) Berhaupt, Holly Ann (Douglas) Nash and Gene Fyvie, dedicated mother Jean Ruth, nine cherished grandchildren: Michael Jr., Brian and Sierra Berhaupt, Jennifer and Samantha Nash, Gene Jr., Jessica, Derek and Giana Fyvie her brother Paul (Beth) Ruth. She is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of devoted friends.
