Howard B. Finkel

Amsterdam- Howard Finkel passed away on August 6, 2015 after a long and courageous battle at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. He was 54 years old.
The son of the late Bernard and Ceil (Grossbaum) Finkel, Howard was born on August 24, 1960 in the Bronx, NY. Howard was educated in New York City. He was employed at Conifer Park in Glenville for 10 years. He was also employed for the New York State Department of Mental Health and Hygiene for the last few years. Howard loved to play his guitar, enjoyed target shooting and was an avid car enthusiast with a special love for Cadillacs. He had a special bond with his two dogs, Martha and Macy.
Howie was a kind soul with a big heart. He would always do anything for anyone. He was always looking after Mollie and making sure she was alright. He will be greatly missed.
Howard is survived by his fiancée Mollie Auspelmyer; special friends Joe and his wife Luanne Barrett and Earl Jones.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, August 13 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Family and friends are invited to call from 10am to 11:30am at the funeral home.
