Hunter E. Hanley, 15, of Colonie, passed away suddenly on May 4, 2021. Born in Albany, he is the beloved son of Todd and Tammy (Erfurt) Hanley.
Hunter was a sophomore at Colonie Central High School. Hunter was a Veeder and Lisha Kill Alumni. Hunter was a member of the high school Bowling team and The Junior Bowling Program at Boulevard Bowl in Schenectady. Hunter had participated in many youth sports within Colonie; including Baseball, soccer and football. Hunter enjoyed many activities including the skilled trades, swimming, riding his bike, fishing, going to the movies, video games and reading.
Hunter had an unmatched love of the ocean, seafood and family trips. He will be remembered as a polite, affable, sweet and wonderful young man. He was quick witted and had an amazing sense of humor. Hunter had a kind and generous soul and cared deeply about those around him, his giving and emotional nature will be remembered by all that knew him.
Hunter is survived by his loving parents Todd and Tammy, sister Victoria, brother Christopher, Grandparents; Susan Hanley, Mike and MJ Hanley, George (deceased) and Denise Erfurt, Robert and Mary Sajeski, aunts and uncles; Bill (Jennifer) Hanley, Susan Karas, George (Jessicia) Erfurt, Laura (Joe) Dunn and cousins; Sabastian and Jeramy Dunn, George and Nicholas Erfurt, Kristin, Lauren, Jillian, Camryn, Ryan, Matthew and Michael Hanley, Joshua, Sarah and Jacob Anderson, Katelyn and Ashley Karas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 12th from 3pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie NY.
