ALBANY – Ina Laning Ross, 88, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008 after a short illness.
Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Lillian Laning. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Hobart Ross.
Ina loved her family and the several Scottish Terriers that she had over the years. She also loved to travel, and especially enjoyed her spring and fall trips to the Maine coast.
Mrs. Ross is survived by her devoted son, William and his wife Michele, their daughter Alexandra, all of Latham; her loving daughter, Linda and her husband, Richard of Colonie; a niece, Carla; a nephew, Henri (Sonny) Houlihan, a brother-in-law, William Ross; a cousin, Rosemary Fisher of East Greenbush and her beloved Scottish Terrier, McDuff.
Ina will be remembered for her kindness and caring towards everyone she met. The family would like to express their warm gratitude to her devoted caregivers, Faith and Laura who took such kind and loving care of Ina. They would also like to thank Mary and Carol for their kindness and friendship.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 noon at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
