ALBANY-Ineter Andrews, 93 of Albany went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. She was born in Shubuta, Mississippi, the daughter of the late George and Reatha Carter. Ineter has resided in the Albany area for over 50 years. She retired from St. Margaret's Hospital after 40 years of service. She was a member of Saint John's COGIC of Albany. Ineter's hobbies included gardening and cooking. She was a giving caring person who always gave to others. Ineter had many loving friends. Ineter was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed basketball, baseball and football.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Deroy Andrews and by her brothers Willie, L.J., Truhart, Percy, Truman, Roan, and Mack Carter. She also predeceased by her sisters Johnetta Ellis and Genetta Carter. In addition, a nephew that she raised, John Ellis.
Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews, sister in law Margie McGill Carter and two good friends Annie M. Johnson and Barnetta McClaney and a host of extended family in Albany, Erie and Mississippi.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 AM on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to follow at 11AM at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
