Albany – Ira "Bud" Pierce, Jr., 72, passed away peacefully Saturday July 12, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn.
Ira was born in Cobleskill, NY the son of the late Ira and Ruth Pierce, Sr. He worked for General Electric for over twenty-five years, served in the US Army from 1955 – 58 and enjoyed gardening and bowling.
He is survived by his wife of more than forty years, Lucille, their children; Timothy (Robin) Pierce and Christopher (Caren) Pierce, grandchildren; Zachary, Emily, Sarah, Lauren, Abby and Kevin, sister Bonnie (Stanley) Ostrander, sister-in-law Judy Gregory and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters; JoAnn (Charles) Harbisono and Manda Lou Pierce father-in-law Howard (Irene) Gregory, brother-in-law Howard (Elaine) Gregory, Jr., brother-in-law Robert Gregory.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 11:00 am at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.).
