Irene V. Bocchetto

Schenectady- Irene Bocchetto passed into the arms of The Lord on April 1, 2022 at St. Peter's Hospital after a long illness. She was 95.

Born in Astoria, Queens to the late Mary and Joseph Bretana, she graduated Jamaica High School and later met her husband Vincent Bocchetto before moving to Long Island to begin raising 3 sons. They moved to the Albany-Schenectady area in 1968 where she was employed by the AYCO Corporation as an Executive Administrator for 20 years. She was a volunteer at the Pastoral Care Department of Albany Medical Center, a Eucharistic Minister at St. Helen's Church, and a volunteer for Schenectady Hospice.

She was predeceased by her husband Vincent in 1987, and by her sister Dorothea in 2019.

She is survived by her 3 sons Jeffrey (Linda), Glenn and Philip (Patricia), her 2 grandchildren Kerry and Ryan, and her nephew Michael (Kathy).
